Skeet Reese outslugged 2003 Classic champion Mike Iaconelli by 11 ounces
The 39-year-old Auburn, Calif., pro knew it would go down to the wire. Iaconelli whacked 20 pounds, 3 ounces to rise from 10th on the final morning to first, with 54-2 over the three-day tournament.

Needing 16-2, Reese figured his bag was perhaps 16 pounds. When the scale read 16-12, he leapt in the air, pumped his fists and hugged Iaconelli.
“It’s hard to be that far back in the standings and win the Classic,” Iaconelli said. “It’s almost impossible. I knew the potential was there but these guys are too good. They’re not going to slip up.”
Day 2 leader Jami Fralick’s weigh-in was almost a formality. Needing 16-5 to complete his Cinderella run, he brought a 10-9 limit across the stage, falling to eighth.

Lip RipperZ Worms Catching Big SunFish
It was great, I was able to enjoy the Monday with my son down at the ponds with huge sunfish as well a few sunfish we decided to understand how to make a sunfish live in a fish tank.
What does a sunfish eat, how do you keep the water clean and non cloudy like most fish tanks.
It is very interesting with the biology of a sunfish as this little guy grew up eating bugs and worms as well tadpoles and many other small creatures. My son and I have kept this pond stocked with sunfish and bass trying to figure out how to stock a pond and now we stock the smallest thing… A fish tank. Why?
We want to see if we can keep one sunfish happy and feed inside a habitat we maintain, sound familiar we have biologists all over the world trying to figure out the same thing and here an 9 year old boy from Kansas City has learned how a fish eats. Why is this important?
Well just imagine we have youth B.A.S.S. members learning to become Conservation Directors or one day maybe a President of a federation. He wears the B.A.S.S. logo very proud as he teaches many how to cast and fish.

As a mater of fact, Josh was teaching kids how to cast during the Cabala’s Casting Kids Event held in Kansas during June 2008. He did not win however he showed a few kids along with his dad how to win the Casting Kids Event from B.A.S.S. these new comers to the sport had a great day as they stayed just as long as the rest of the volunteers that day participating from the Leavenworth B.A.S.S. club as they always seem to have a huge amount of volunteers available for this program..
However back to the story, I have been fishing so many tournaments Josh and I got a chance to have fun again in the pond.. He even fished with my new St. Croix Fishing Rod my wife got me for fathers day.
Sorry I did not have the camera but we had a good time!
Josh had my St Croix Fishing Rod and I was amazed because this youth really does understand how a rod is made and why, as he said “dad I can feel the fish bite in the rod handle” I knew he was hooked as was I with this fishing rod manufacture.

Huge Storm Hits Kansas City, MO – June 5, 2008
Wow talk about a crazy … Storm it sounded like it was going to be just another loud thunderstorm that then started waking people up around 12am to go down to the basement up north past KCI Airport. However the wind from the front of this storm was extremely powerful.
Here is a photo of the Radar as it stands at 12:30

Lot’s of water fell from the sky with reports of hail and a few tornados spotted, however the hard part was finally figuring when and where this storm could become violent ..
Good ol fasion fun here in the midwest.
At least I am not out on a fishing event during this weather event, that could make it a bit nuts fast out on a Bass Boat trying to get in from the tournament.
