Snakes in the Midwest
I can remember when I was fishing with my son and we saw a snake in red color swimming to our small fishing boat. I only have a 55lb Thrust Trolling motor and I was trolling slow since we had been catching some BASS.
This year my son and I plan to go back into that back end of Weatherby lake, MO in U Cove back in a small valley that has a ton of quiet with tons of activity in the water.
We saw over 15-20 snakes not including the fishing tournaments I attended with the federation with the Buddy Circuit..as well many other birds and types of fish caught doing it.
Youth Clubs are encouraged to talk about Snake safety and emergency plans during a youth tournament here in Kansas. We had seen them all the way down to Grand Lake Of The Cherokees Oklahoma and Pomme De Terre Lake.
